Workman Looks Back, One Year Later
[02.26.09] - Dear friends, family, and supporters,
It’s been one year today since we where thrown into a journey no one expected. It’s been an adventure and the single biggest learning process of my life!
First and foremost, I want to thank my dear mother for showing such strength and determination when it was hard for anyone to have any. She is my guardian angel and I am forever grateful that the first thing I remember seeing was her face when I came back into the world. Thanks to my wonderful Father, Stepmother, Grandfather, and Grandmother for all of there help and love as well. Thanks to Pascal Royer for saving my life when he got the barrel off of me and lifted my head so I could breathe. Thanks to my dear friends who were there for me in so many ways. Thank you to the racing community who showed unbelievable support during and after I was hurt. Finally, thank you Alex Graas for your encouragement and support in a business that became my life. I’ll never thank these people enough!
One year on, I can honestly say that I am stronger mentally and physically thanks to all of my therapist, supporters, and my best friend and personal trainer, B.J. Mackler. Thank you Sarah Foss for being with me throughout the entire ordeal. Thank you Johnny Kanavas for playing such an important part in setting up and keeping communication between my friends and family. Due to the persons I just mentioned, I’m very excited about the progress I have made and will continue to make. I also look forward to the rest of my life and whatever it might have in store for me. Everything I do from here on out is a bonus!
Again, thank you all!
